Who runs this site
MSNBIS is written and maintained by Mohammed Jamil, a software developer based in the United Arab Emirates. This is a personal project, not a news organisation — there is no newsroom, no editorial board, and no team of analysts behind it. Just one person who builds tools and writes about money.
I am not a licensed financial advisor, an accountant, or a tax professional, and nothing on this site is personalised financial advice. What I can offer is careful, well-sourced explanations of how financial products actually work, and calculators that do the maths correctly and show you their workings.

Free, no-signup tools for the calculations people actually need — loan repayments, compound growth, zakat, currency conversion. Each one shows the formula it uses so you can check the result yourself rather than take it on trust.
Explainers, not news
I don't chase headlines or republish wire stories. The writing here covers concepts that stay true for years — how a reducing-balance loan differs from a flat-rate one, what an expense ratio really costs you over a decade, how UAE end-of-service gratuity is calculated.
How I work
Sourced figures
Any number in an article links to where it came from — a central bank release, a regulator's published rules, a company filing. If I can't source a figure, I leave it out rather than estimate it.
Written, then checked
I use AI tools to help draft and edit, the same way I use a spell-checker. Nothing gets published until I have read it line by line and verified every claim in it. I take responsibility for what appears under my name.
Independent
This site is funded by display advertising. Advertisers have no say in what I write and never see a piece before it goes live. I don't take payment for reviews, placements, or links.
Questions, corrections, or feedback
I read every message. Corrections are especially welcome — spotting an error in a calculator or an article genuinely helps.
